Get a clearer view in 5 minutes

Answer 15 practical questions and get a clearer view of where your business is sitting.

No two businesses are the same, so no two businesses will manage work health and safety exactly the same way. The right approach needs to fit your people, your work, your risks, and the way your business actually operates.

But every business still needs some fundamentals in place: clear accountability, understood risks, practical controls, worker involvement, good records, and enough visibility to know whether things are working.

This scorecard gives you a practical snapshot of where your business is sitting now, what is working well, and where there may be gaps that need attention.

A note from Courtney

I’m Courtney Newman, Managing Director of Safety Forward. I created this scorecard to help business owners and leaders look at their WHS approach through a practical, commercial risk lens, shaped by nearly 20 years working across safety, operations, leadership, and business risk.

The gaps are not always obvious from inside the day to day. You can have good people, strong intent, and plenty happening, but still not have a clear picture of what is working, what needs attention, or what could create problems later.

This scorecard turns the kinds of questions I would ask when looking at WHS inside a business into a practical self check you can work through in a few minutes.

It is not about perfection. It is about getting a clearer view of what might need your attention next.
